In the Cameroon Grassland region the men of the Bamun,  Tikar and Bamileke groups hand knit special ceremonial hats such as this one. They are worn by established men and elders in the community during ceremonial occasions. Measures 11 1/2" tall including custom made metal art stand. Good used condition.
