This must have been a naturalistic looking piece in it's original condition, still what remains is handsome and keep in mind that Sokoto pieces are approximately 2000 years old. Perhaps it was a portrait of an individual. The narrow cylinder -like neck indicates that it was probably used as a stopper. Measures 8" tall with stand.
